Alberta women’s shelters report highlights lack of funding but more deman

The Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS), made up of 39 members operating more than 50 shelters across the province, released its eighth workforce survey Tuesday. According to ACWS, the Alberta government has not increased funding for domestic shelter violence staff wages in nine years and has not increased operation funding in eight years.
