Boston Bruins at Edmonton Oilers: How to watch NHL, time, FREE live stream

Two of the National Hockey League’s top teams will meet Wednesday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The Boston Bruins (33-12-11, first in the Atlantic Division) will begin a four-game road trip against the Edmonton Oilers Oilers (33-18-1, third in the Pacific Division), with their game starting at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

TNT will carry the game, which will be live-streamed on Sling TV (first-month discount) and DirecTV Stream (try for FREE).

This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

The Bruins ended a four-game losing stream on Monday night when Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy scored in a shootout to beat the Dallas Stars 4-3. With the win, the Bruins leap-frogged Florida to move into first place in the Atlantic Division.

Jeremy Swayman stopped 8 of 9 shots in the shootout and finished the game with 43 saves.

“I like seeing a lot of rubber. I think any goalie will tell you that,” Swayman told The Associated Press. “It keeps you busy and gets you into a flow.”

Bruins forward David Pastrnak tied the game on a 6-on-5 advantage with 1:45 remaining in regulation. The forward wired in a one-timer from the left circle for his 35th goal of the season after McAvoy got the Dallas defense to commit to the Bruins defenseman.

“Our great players made great plays at a time when we needed to tie the game,” Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said.

Charlie Coyle has scored 18 goals with 26 assists for the Bruins. Pastrnak has five goals and eight assists over the past 10 games, during which the Bruins are 4-4-2.

Evander Kane scored two of Edmonton’s four goals in the third period, Connor McDavid added two assists to extend his NHL lead and the Oilers stretched the Arizona Coyotes’ losing streak to 10 games with a 6-3 win on Monday.

Leon Draisaitl and Mattias Janmark also scored for Edmonton, and Stuart Skinner had 22 saves. McDavid had assists on the first and last goals, pushing his season total to 62.

“Good teams are able to put together long streaks and good teams also don’t put long losing streaks together,” Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch told The Associated Press. “Obviously, getting back-to-back [wins] feels good. We just want to build on that.”

Leon Draisaitl has 27 goals and 41 assists for the Oilers while McDavid has five goals and 19 assists over the past 10 games.

Edmonton, 7-3-0 in its last 10 games, has gone 17-6-1 at home this season.
