Canada has ‘many steps’ to take before recognizing Palestinian state: Bob Rae | Power & Politics

The UN General Assembly has voted by a wide margin to grant new ‘rights and privileges’ to Palestinian representatives on Friday, while Canada abstained from the vote. According to Bob Rae, Canada’s ambassador to the UN, Canada is working to ‘be on this journey together with Israel, with Palestine, and with a number of other countries that are all engaged in this issue,’ in order to find progress.
