Corey Perry addresses departure from Blackhawks

Corey Perry spoke to the media on Monday for the first time after his controversial departure from Chicago.

Perry’s contract with Chicago Blackhawks was terminated on Nov. 30 after he “engaged in conduct that is unacceptable, and in violation of both the terms of his Standard Player’s Contract and the Blackhawks’ internal policies intended to promote professional and safe work environments.”

The Edmonton Oilers have signed the 38-year-old forward to a one-year contract with an average annual value of $775,000 plus performance bonuses on Monday. #shorts
