Edmonton weather: Less smoke in the air and a chance of a lot of rain

A look at Monday’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

It’s 17 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station, with 10 km/h winds from the northwest.

There is far less smoke in the air this morning and even though there is still a special air quality statement from Environment Canada the air quality health index has dropped down to a 4.

The daytime high today is expected to hit 21 C and Environment Canada is again calling for a 30 per cent chance of rain this evening in the amount of 20 to 30mm which sounds like a lot.

I’m no specialist but it does feel like they’ve been calling for a chance of rain for the last couple of days now so here I am with my fingers crossed we get something.

If I’m being honest I’d like just an afternoon to just sit outside and not have to worry about coughing my face off that’s never pleasant.

Well let’s see what Monday has in store for us, shall we?
