Red arrows make dramatic flight over Niagara Falls

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, performed a dramatic and colourful flypast at Niagara Falls on Wednesday, September 11, as part of their tour of Canada.
The flight display was part of a five-week Maple Hawk tour marking the Royal Canadian Air Force’s centenary. The spectacular flypast also involved a historic Lancaster bomber.
The nine Hawk jets made several passes over the landmark falls, according to the Ministry of Defence (MOD). On their first approach, they trailed the Second World War bomber – one of only two still flying in the world.
Thousands of people watched the flyovers by the Red Arrows, with the team changing its formation shape in an impressive display of precision, the MOD said.
This year also marks the 60th anniversary of the Red Arrows.
