Scarborough comic proud to explore Tamil, queer identities in standup act

After performing around the world, Tamil-Canadian comedian Sunthar Vykunthanathan — known as Sunthar V — returned to his hometown in Scarborough this week, performing for his largest audience in the community to date. In a conversation with CBC’s Shannon Martin, he says he’s proud to be able to perform a show that explores the intersections of Tamil, queer and refugee identities.
