The Cult of Hockey’s “Oilers pull off one of their greatest wins” podcast

Let’s do this!
The Edmonton Oilers mounted one of the greatest comebacks in team playoff history, beating the L.A. Kings 5-4 in over-time.

Of course, if there was ever a team that could fight back from a three-goal deficit, it’s the comeback kings, the Edmonton Oilers, who constantly fought back during the regular season.

The Oilers came out stumbling, failing to get the puck deep, failing to take the man, and their bad habits quickly led to a 3-0 L.A. lead. But in the same amount of time, the Oilers fought back, scoring three goals in the second period, mainly on the brilliance of Leon Draisaitl’s magnificent marksmanship. The team’s traded goals before Zach Hyman drained a hard outside wrister in OT. For once, L.A. goalie Joonas Korpisalo got beat on a “B” grade shot, and it cost his team the game.
