Trump says he would ‘encourage’ Russia to attack NATO allies who don’t spend enough on defence

Former U.S. president Donald Trump, speaking at a campaign rally in South Carolina on Saturday, said he would not protect NATO allies from a Russian attack if they don’t spend enough on defence. ‘I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay,’ Trump said.
