Why Ontario is facing a lawsuit for cancelling its basic income project

In July 2018, the Ford government abruptly cancelled Ontario’s basic income pilot program, leaving about 4,000 participants without that financial support. Now, those former recipients are suing the province for up to $200 million. CBC’s Lorenda Reddekopp spoke to one of the plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit.
