Why this YouTuber turned to traditional TV

Jasmeet Raina was a successful YouTuber for most of the 2010s. Then he stopped posting in 2018.

Raina, formerly known as Jus Reign, is now back on screen in Late Bloomer. The eight-part Crave series is inspired by Raina’s life, both as an internet star and a Punjab Sikh millennial.

Raina spoke to CBC News about the show — and why he chose traditional TV over YouTube.
