Chileans set to vote on new constitution, Alberta’s recent population surge | The World This Weekend

Chileans on Sunday will vote in a referendum on a new constitution that seeks to replace its dictatorship-era text. And, more than 56,000 people moved to Alberta from other Canadian provinces in 2022 and 2023. Economists say as the population grows rapidly, people fleeing there for cheaper housing could soon be met with sticker shock.
