The champion Edmonton Lautoka Soccer Association has congratulated the Lautoka Football Association HyperChem Pharmacy-sponsored team for their magnificent feat in lifting the Fiji FACT trophy after 21 years.

The champion Edmonton Lautoka Soccer Association has congratulated the Lautoka Football Association HyperChem Pharmacy-sponsored team for their magnificent feat in lifting the Fiji FACT trophy after 21 years.
“This is truly amazing for our beloved Lautoka team and all of us here in Edmonton are so proud of them, joint chairmen David Rakesh and Rajesh Jattan said.
The Edmonton Lautoka team made a clean sweep of the Fijian Battle of the Giants and Interdistrict competitions last year.
“But the moment now belongs to our sugar city team and our heartiest congratulations to them.
“We were immensely proud at the defeats they handed out to opposition teams.”
HyperChem Pharmacy Lautoka won 1-0 against Suva, defeated Navua 4-2, drew 1-1 with Ba, beat Labasa 2-1 in the semifinal and handed defending champions Rewa the same margin in the final.
Both Rakesh and Jattan said the two titles they won in 2022 could not have come at a better time to cheer up his players, officials and their families after the COVID pandemic.
Rakesh, who has been the mainstay of the Lautoka Football Association in Canada, said his team made up of former Fiji citizens send their best wishes to their Fiji counterparts for the rest of the season.
“A majority of the players are former Fiji residents with a handful district reps and some also represented Fiji,” he said.
Meanwhile plans are underway to make the Edmonton Lautoka side the best net year.
Rakesh said they measures that will be put in place to see that the team is the strongest for the 2024 season.
“We aim to take all trophies next year and that is our goal,” he said.
