‘When I die, I don’t want Friends to be the first thing that’s mentioned:’ Matthew Perry #shorts

Ottawa-raised actor Matthew Perry, known as Chandler Bing on Friends, was found dead in his hot tub over the weekend. He was 54. An investigation into how he died is ongoing, and it may take weeks before his cause of death is determined.

In a CBC Q interview from November 2022, Perry talked about his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which details his long journey with addiction, fame and recovery.

He told Q host Tom Power why he didn’t want to be remembered only for Friends, but his work to help people with addiction.
