The birth control pill was approved in Canada 64 years ago. It gave a newfound liberation to women and more control over their bodies. But lately, there’s been backlash. Kate Muir, author of Everything You Need to Know About the Pill, says the shift is due to its long list of side-effects as well as neglect in women’s health.
